Description
The Agilent TapeStation 4150 is an automated electrophoresis system used for DNA and RNA quality control. The system provides information on nucleic acid concentration, fragment size distribution, and sample integrity and is particularly useful for evaluating extracted nucleic acids, PCR products, and next-generation sequencing libraries.
Capabilities
•Automated DNA and RNA electrophoretic analysis
•DNA fragment analysis using D5000 ScreenTape ranges from 100 to 5,000 bp
•RNA quality assessment from 25 to 500 ng/µL
•DNA Integrity Number (DIN) assessment
•RNA Integrity Number equivalent (RINᵉ)
•Fragment size and concentration assessment for sequencing libraries
•Requires 1 uL of sample volume
Planning a TapeStation analysis? Before scheduling, please email molecularRSC@txstate.edu with the number of samples, whether they are DNA or RNA, and the protocol/ScreenTape assay you intend to use. If you are unsure which assay is appropriate, our team can help determine the best option based on your samples.
Please review the Instrument Use & Researcher-Supplied Reagent Policy before your appointment.
