Qubit 4 Fluorometer

Description

The Qubit 4 Fluorometer provides sensitive and selective fluorescence-based quantification of DNA and RNA. Using target-specific fluorescent dyes, the system provides accurate nucleic acid concentration measurements with minimal interference from contaminants that may affect absorbance-based measurements.

Capabilities

•Quantification of double-stranded DNA and RNA
•Broad-range DNA quantification from 4–4,000 ng per assay
•Broad-range RNA quantification from approximately 20–1,000 ng per assay
•Requires only a small sample volume (down to 1 uL)
•Suitable for sample quality control, PCR workflows, and next-generation sequencing library preparation

Planning a Qubit analysis? Before scheduling, please email molecularRSC@txstate.edu with the number of samples, whether they are DNA or RNA, and the assay/protocol you intend to use.

Please review the Instrument Use & Researcher-Supplied Reagent Policy before your appointment.
